袁紹依仗自己兵馬是曹軍的十倍，豪情大發，揮劍喝令攻殺。

雙方展開了四輪惡戰，袁軍最終不敵曹操，倉皇潰敗。

袁紹在曹操的追殺下潰不成軍，卻在路上遇到了前來相助的劉備。

在劉備的掩護下，袁紹匆匆奔逃。

袁紹退回大營，在許攸的讒言下，田豐被賜死。

三子袁尚報告，各路兵馬尚有五十萬，依然是曹軍的十倍以上。

袁紹大喜，決心汲取教訓，再戰曹賊。

首戰勝利的曹操夜中獨步，憂慮不安。

於是令快馬前去許昌請荀彧為自己一決進退大計。

恰在此時，曹操收到了來自荀彧的急信。

建議曹操不可撤軍，而是乘勝再戰。

許攸在野外捉到了曹操的傳令信使，得知曹操軍糧告罄。

許攸大喜，持信進諫袁紹兵分兩路進攻曹操。

袁紹心疑，猶豫不決。

此時，袁紹看到了田豐臨死前寫給他的血書，直言許攸貌忠實奸。

袁紹怒，將許攸趕出大帳。

許攸無奈之下，夜投曹營。

No Tian Feng was not right about Xu You. Yuan Shao betrayed Xu You not the other way around. Yuan Shao just needed to listen to Xu You instead he turned and wanted to kill him. If you were to be executed for giving good advice, I would betray too. Yuan Shao is a worthless leader. Loyalty to die like Guan Yu is for Liu Bei is honorable, but working for an idiot like Yuan Shao is far diffierent in my opinion.

是袁紹負了許攸，不是許攸負了袁紹。

袁紹應該聽許攸的，可是他卻要殺了他。

如果給好的建議就要被斬首，我也會背叛呢。

袁紹是個庸主。

盡忠致死如關羽於劉備固然可敬，為了袁紹這樣的白痴工作卻是另外一回事。

Tian Feng was also betrayed but stayed loyal. Xu You is intelligent but of poor character, bragging about his accomplishments which will later get him killed. Rarely ever in history has a good advisor been treated well by his master like Qu Yuan with Chu, Fan Zeng with Xiang Yu or Tian Feng with Yuan Shao. All these men suffered for good advise but never switched sides. loyalty is loyaty no matter to whom or for what price.

田豐也負了袁紹，儘管他一直盡忠。

許攸很聰明可是本性不好，一直炫耀自己的成就只能帶來殺身之禍。

歷史上很少正直的謀臣會被主子善待的，詳見：楚的屈原、項羽的范增、袁紹的田豐。

這些人都為了諫言而承受了很多，不過他們都沒有變節。

忠誠就是忠誠，無論是為了誰，為了什麼的代價。
