訓練內容包括一般生活及職場外語,更擴及社交互動、商務溝通、會議談判、簡報口譯等專業訓練。

同時,順應外語教育向下延伸、素養課綱之實施,規劃設計專屬中小學生、強調自學策略培養之課程與評量。

Whenthecenterwasfirstfounded,itfocusedprimarilyonEnglishtraining.Aslearners'interestinlanguagesandculturesfromplacessuchasEuropeandJapanincreased,theLTTCexpandeditstrainingandassessmentservicestosixlanguages.Coursecontentcametoincludeeverydayandbusinesslanguageandextendedintoprofessionaltrainingareassuchassocialinteraction,businesscommunication,negotiation,presentation,andinterpretation.Atthesametime,inaccordancewiththeextensionofforeignlanguageteachingintotheelementaryschoolsystemandtheimplementationofthecompetencycurriculum,thecenterplannedanddesignedcoursesandassessmentsfocusedonprimaryandsecondaryschoolstudents,emphasizingthecultivationofself-learningstrategies.  LTTC外語學習包含多元語種,訓練內容強調真實溝通語境與文化認知培養。

TheLTTC’slanguagetrainingserviceincludesmultiplelanguages.Trainingemphasizesrealcommunicationscenarios andthecultivationofculturalunderstanding. 歐語學習資源 Europeanlanguagelearningresources 日本文化體驗活動 Japaneseculturalexperienceevent Breakdownofcoursescurrentlyoffered:English,60%;Japanese,30%;Other,10% 1951年起,為赴美受訓人員提供英語訓練 In1951, thecenterprovidedEnglishtrainingfortraineesheadingtotheUS. 1966年起,以政府經費派往歐、日等國家研習者日漸增加,因此陸續增設法語、德語、日語、西語等歐、日語課程 WithgovernmentfundingsupportingtraininginEuropeandJapan,thescopeoflanguageswasexpandedfromEnglishonlytoinclude Japanese,French,German,andSpanish. 2011年起,因韓語學習人口增加,增設韓語等更多語種課程 In2011,Koreanwasaddedtoaccommodatedemand. 深受各公營單位信任,長年接受委託辦理專業外語課程∣ Trustedbythepublicsector,withyearsofexperienceprovidingspecializedlanguagetrainingprograms. 獲民間企業委託,規劃設計外語訓練∣ Organizinglanguage trainingprogramsforprivateenterprise. LTTC和臺灣外語教育趨勢一同擴及至中小學生族群,推出了「小學英檢」、「第二外語能力測驗」,以及中學生英、日語課程等。

ForeignlanguageeducationinTaiwanhasbeenextendedtoelementaryandmiddleschoolstudents.Inlinewiththistrend,theLTTChaslaunchedGEPTKids,theSecondForeignLanguageProficiencyTest,aswellaslanguagetrainingformiddleschoolstudents. TheLTTCcombinesteachingandevaluation;incorporatesbothR&Dandpracticalexperience;activelyrespondstonational,countyandcitygovernmentpolicies;andconductsbothresearchintoenhancingtheabilitiesofbilingualteachersatelementaryandmiddleschoolsandthedevelopmentofassessmentresourcesforthebilingualclassroom.Organizingcustomized,communication-orientedlanguagetrainingcourses,theLTTCrespondstotheincreasingdemandsofvariousagenciesforforeignaffairsandinternationalexchange,suchastheMinistryofForeignAffairs,theMinistryofHealthandWelfare,theMinistryofEconomics,theMinistryofNationalDefense,theCivilServiceAcademy,andhundredsofotherenterprisesandinstitutions. 配合國家英語教育政策,提供檢測評量服務| Providingassessmentservicesinresponseto nationalEnglisheducationpolicies 配合90學年度國小五六年級全面實施英語教學政策,LTTC受教育部委託辦理「88年度國民小學英語教師英語能力檢核測驗」;通過測驗且完成師資培訓者,即具備國民小學英語教師資格。

Inlinewiththe2001Englisheducationinitiative,theLTTCwascommissionedtoadministeratestassessingthelanguageproficiencyofelementaryschoolEnglishteachers,startingin1999.ThosewhopassedthetestandcompletedtheteachertrainingwouldthenbequalifiedtoteachEnglishatelementaryschools.TheMOEestimatedthenumberofteachersneededin2001wouldbeabout3,300.However,theactualnumberofregistrantsfortthetestwasapproximately50,000,farexceedingexpectations. 為實際了解技專校院學生的英語程度,做為學校英語教學改進之參考,教育部委託LTTC針對技專校院體制內學生進行為期三年(90年至92年度)的英語能力檢測及英語能力定期追蹤,三年間總計抽樣約28,000名學生。

TogainaclearerunderstandingofthelevelofEnglishamongtechnicalandvocationalschoolstudents,theLTTCwascommissionedbytheMOEtoconducta3-yearlongitudinalstudy(2001to2003)toexamineandtrackEnglishproficiencyinthisgroup.Overthe3years,atotalof28,000studentsparticipatedinthestudy. LTTC與臺北市教育局簽訂合作意向書,從評量、教師增能等面向協力推動雙語實驗課程之落實。
