Thesamethingiswithallpostinggroups.Wehavethesepostinggroupsalreadycreatedfromthebeginning,andweneedtousethemindatamigrationprocess.Ofcourse,ifyouneedmorepostinggroups,youneedtoaddnewandsetupthemaswell.Bydefault,wehavelimitedsetofpostinggroups: Customer/VendorPostingGroups: DOMESTIC Gen.BusinessPostingGroups: DOMESTIC Get.ProductPostingGroups: NOTAX, RETAILand SERVICES BankAccountPostingGroups: CASH, CHECKINGand SAVINGS InventoryPostingGroups: RESALE AndwhenyouopenInventoryPostingSetupforyourexistedgroup,youwillseethatwecanaddGLaccounts,butishasnotLocations. ThatmeanswehavenotlocationsintheProject“Madeira”.Thisisnotconnectedonlywithsetup;thatalsomeanswecannotuselocationsininventoryprocess.YoualsocannotfindfixedassetsinProject“Madeira”. Italsomeanssetupisnotsohard,butitstillrequiressomespecificknowledgeaboutthemainthingofsystemandwecannotexpectfromclienttoconfigureitbyhimself. Costingmethodsusuallydifferinthewaythattheyvalueinventorydecreases.But,regardlessofwhatcostingtypeyouuse,allofthemhaveminimumonecommonthing.Whenthequantityoninventoryiszero,theinventoryvaluemustalsobezero.Thenextcommonthingiswayofthepostingallincomingandoutgoingentries.Thispostingresultsentriesasquantityandasvalue.QuantitypostingdescribesthechangeinquantityoninventoryandthistransactionisstoredinItemLedgerEntries.ValuepostingdescribesthechangeininventoryvalueandthistransactionisstoredinValueEntries.EachentryinValueEntriestableislinkedwithentryintheItemLedgerEntriestable.MoreentriesintheValueEntriestablecanbeappliedwiththesameentryintheItemLedgerEntry. EachItemledgerentryisappliedagainsteachother.AlltheseapplicationsbetweenincomingandoutgoingquantitiesintheItemLedgerEntriesarestoredintheItemApplicationEntrytableaslinksbetweeninventoryincreaseandinventorydecreaseinanItemLedgerEntry.NAVrecordstheentrynumberoftheItemLedgerEntrycorrespondingtotheinventoryincreaseintheInboundItemEntryNo.fieldandtheentrynumberoftheItemLedgerEntrycorrespondingtotheinventorydecreaseintheOutboundItemEntryNo.field.TheprogramalsoreducestheRemainingQuantityfieldsinthecorrespondingitemledgerentriesbytheappliedquantity. YoujustneedtoclickonPreviewPostingcommandinyourribbonandyouwillgetcompletelynavigatedpagewithallentries(G/Lentries,Customer/Vendorentries,VATentries,Valueentries…).Everythingisthesameasyoualreadypostthisdocument,butthisisnotposted.Alllinksarehere…perfect. Ofcourse,youwillnotseeDocumentNo.forexample;thisisbecausewestillhavenotthisdata.
