日常生活中经常用到的极限形容词包括：delicious,hilarious,exhausted,freezing,huge,excellent等。

这些极限形容词表示的都是非常……，比如： delicous的意思是非常好吃（extremelytasty） hilarious意思是非常好笑（extremelyfunny） exhausted表示的是非常累（extremelyexhausted） freezing表示的是非常冷（extremelycold） huge表示的是非常大（extremelylarge） filthy表示的是非常脏（extremelydirty） 报道中说了三个使用极限形容词有几个规则： 第一：极限形容词通常没有比较级和最高级。

当然，随着英语的演进，口语中有时候也有人会说：ThisisthemostdeliciousdishIhaveeverhad.（这是我吃过最好吃的菜）。

但是，如moreexcellent这一类的表达则通常很少见。

第二：极限形容词前通常不用程度副词修饰，也就是说极限形容词前很少用very,abit,kindof这一类的词来修饰。

极限形容词前可以用表示“完全”的几个副词来修饰，包括compeletely，totally，absolutely，utterly。

例如，我们可以说Iamtotallyexhausted.（我完全累趴了。

） 第三：pretty,so,fairly和really既可以修饰极限形容词，也可以修饰普通形容词。

Yet,wecanuseotheradverbswithextremeadjectivesforstrongeremphasis.
