TheEPDhasprogressivelyreplacedthelabelsontherecyclingbinsinpublicplaceswiththenewdesign.Therecyclingbinsinpublicplaceswillbeenhancedtoachieve‘BiggerCapacity,EasyReporting’. “BiggerCapacity”–thelittercompartmentcurrentlyconnectedwiththerecyclingbinswillbechangedtocollectrecyclablessuchaswasteplasticstoincreasethecollectioncapacityandhelpthepublicavoidputtinglitterintorecyclingbinsbymistake.Thisshouldhelpincreasethecleanlinessofrecyclablescollectedalongtheroadside. “EasyReporting”–newlabelswithaQRcodeandservicehotlinenumberwillbeputontherecyclingbinstoenablethepublictoreportmatterssuchasoverfilledordamagedbinstoimprovetheefficiencyoftherecyclablescollectioncontractorintakingfollow-upactions.EachrecyclingbinhasindependentQRcodeandRecyclingBinCode.MembersofthepubliccouldscantheQRcodetoaccesstheonlineform,inwhichtheRecyclingBinCodeandLocationwillbeautomaticallyfilledin,opinionorenquiryonRecyclingBinOverfilledorothermatterscouldthenbeselectedtoreport.Membersofthepubliccanalsocall66236343orviaWhatsApptoenquiremattersabouttheroadsiderecyclingbins. TheCleanRecyclingQRcodeisalsoprintedonthenewlabel.TheguidelinesoncleanrecyclingcanbeaccessedbyscanningtheQRcodetounderstandeachtypeofrecyclablesandtheproperproceduresoncleanrecycling. Membersofthepubliccanmakeuseofthemobileapplication“WasteLess”oftheEPDtolocatetherecyclingbinsnearbyorbeingplacedinpublicplaces.Apartfromshowingthelocationsoftherecyclablescollectionpointsthroughmapsandinstantsearch,the“WasteLess”mobileapplicationalsoprovidesrelevantinformationandknowledgeonrecycling.
