網絡化CWN主要涉及兩項任務:其一是建構一個網路平台,用於瀏覽和編輯CWN的內容;其二是設計一個網頁應用程式介面,允許第三方以鏈結資料的形式存取CWN的資料。

至於將CWN知識本體化,則是借用已經具備知識本體化訊息的普林斯頓詞彙網路(PrincetonWordNet),透過對應兩者的同義詞集(synset)來完成。

網絡化並知識本體化後的CWN,不僅能深化詞彙語義學和數位辭典學的理論探討,更對於語言工程和新興的第三代全球資訊網(亦即語意網)之實際應用有所助益。

TheobjectiveofthisthesisistowebifyandontologizeChineseWordnet(CWN),suchthatitcanserveasalexicalontologyforuseontheSemanticWeb.TowebifyCWNinvolvesprimarilytwotasks:oneistoconstructaweb-basedplatformforbrowsingandeditingthecontentsofCWN,theothertodesignawebapplicationprogramminginterfacethatallowsthird-partiestoaccessthedatasetsofCWNasLinkedData;theontologizationofCWN,ontheotherhand,isachievedbysynsetmappingwithPrincetonWordNet,whichhasbeenontologizedaswellasinterlinkedwithanarrayofontologicaland/orlinguisticresources.Thewebified,ontologizedversionofCWNisexpectedtobenotonlyoftheoreticalrelevanceinlexicalsemanticsanddigitallexicography,butalsoofpracticaluseinlanguageengineeringandtheemerging,thirdgenerationoftheWordWideWeb,ortheSemanticWeb.
