GlobalClimateParameters:TheNEMrainfallisinfluencedbyglobalclimateparameterssuchasENSO(ElNino/LaNina&SouthernOscillationIndex-SOI),IndianOceanDipole(IOD)andMadden-JulianOscillation(MJO). ElNino,positiveIODandMJOinphase2-4withamplitudegreaterthanonearegenerallyassociatedwithgoodNEMrainfall. Also,LaNina&positiveSOIduringthesecondhalfoftheseasonisalsofavourableforgoodNEMactivity.
