DoesASDPredictPTSD? IfyouexperienceASD,it’smorelikelyyou’lldevelopPTSD.Onestudyhasfoundthat80percentofpeoplewithASDdevelopPTSD.However,noteveryonewhoexperiencesASDwilldevelopPTSD.Conversely,youmaynotexperienceASDbutstilldevelopPTSDlater.Studiesindicatethatasmallpercentage(4-13percent)ofpeoplewhodonotdevelopASDinthefirstmonthafteratraumaticexperiencewillexperiencePTSDinthemonthsorevenyearsaftertheincident.
