Thesecriticismsofthe1937BinettesthelpedproducetheWechsler–Bellevuescale,releasedin1939.However,thepresent-dayWAIS-IVhascontradictedmanyofthesecriticisms,byincorporatingasingleoverallscore,usingmultipletimedtasks,focusingonintellectiveitemsandotherways.Whilethisscalehasbeenrevised(resultinginthepresentdayWAIS-IV),manyoftheoriginalconceptsWechslerarguedfor,havebecomestandardsinpsychologicaltesting,includingthepoint-scaleconceptandtheperformance-scaleconcept.[4]
