今天我们来学一个最地道的说法，英语中原本就有一个成语表达了同样的意思：Godisinthedetail.  这句成语源自一句德国谚语（DerliebeGottstecktimdetail）。

英语就是直接把这句德语翻译成了英语。

据说也是一个德国人首先在英语媒体上使用这句话后来才被英语吸收进来的。

用英语解释就是：attentionpaidtosmallthingshasbigrewards,orthatdetailsareimportant. 其实用大陆流行的句式翻译成”细节是王道“最贴切，但意思跟”细节决定成败“一样。

看个例句： RememberthatGodisinthedetail,somakesureeverythingisinorderbeforeyoubegin.记住，细节是王道。

在开始之前一定要确保一切准备都就绪了。

从Godisinthedetail这句成语又衍生出了另一个更常用的成语：Thedevilisinthedetail.(*detail或details都对） 这个成语有两层不太一样的意思： （1）mistakesareusuallymadeinthesmalldetailsofaproject.Usuallyitisacautiontopayattentiontoavoidfailure. 不注意小细节往往会酿成大错误。

（2）“细节中的魔鬼”指的是某些东西乍一看可能看起来很简单，但完成起来比预期的要花费更多的时间和精力。

因为细节中隐藏了很多事先看不到的困难或问题——thedetailsofaplan,agreementetcareveryimportantandmayresultinproblems. 这句成语比Godisinthedetail更流行更常见，而且在欧洲很多语言中都有类似的说法。

细节可以是上帝，也可以是魔鬼。

所以值得关注。
